I am the Iowa Wrestler, born and raised in Muscatine. I always dreamed of being a professional wrestler. I had my first match at the Sportatorium Arena in Texas, the same ring where “El Santo” and “Mil Mascaras” also fought.

Lucha Libre was born in Mexico, acrobatic, high-flying, the beautiful colored masks, it is one of the best gifts that Mexico has given the world, such as tequila, mariachi, food, and beautiful music.

Lucha Libre is the Mexican superheroes! it is the mystery of who is behind the mask; "rudo", "técnico", the good and the bad. I used to be rudo! As I got older I decided to become a good guy, a técnico, luchando with different colored masks.

The mask keeps your identity a secret, it's a sacrifice to wear it daily!

My dad is from Piedras Negras, and my mom from Texas, grandmother was born during the war of the Mexican Revolution, her parents left Mexico, she was born on the Texas side, she was a US citizen and she returned to Mexico. Father was an immigrant to the United States in 1966, he was grateful to have a green card to work here.

When I see hard-working immigrants, I know that all they want is to have a better life. I treat them with dignity and kindness, because they are like my father, only from another generation.

One of the reasons I became a Luchador is to represent Mexican culture. I am proud of my culture, my roots. Being a Mexican-American is a wonderful part of my life. I love being Latino in Iowa.
